The Prophet Zechariah הנביא זכריה has a vision. In the vision he sees two pipes make of pure gold. They are connected to two olive trees that are on the right and the left hand sides of a great menorah. These golden pipes are emptying golden oil out of themselves upon something beneath them.
And I answered the second time, and said unto him, What is this? From the channel trunks of the olive trees come two pipes of gold that empty the golden oil out of themselves?
וָאַעַן שֵׁנִית וָאֹמַר אֵלָיו מַה־שְׁתֵּי שִׁבֲּלֵי הַזֵּיתִים אֲשֶׁר בְּיַד
שְׁנֵי צַנְתְּרוֹת הַזָּהָב הַמְרִיקִים מֵעֲלֵיהֶם הַזָּהָב
Zechariah 4:12 זכריה ד:יב
The questions arise: What are these pipes of pure gold?
Why are they made out of pure gold? And
What is the golden oil that is coming out of them?
The answer is that these pipes carry a very precious and a very unique anointing oil שמן משחה.
The preciousness of the anointing oil שמן משחה is emphasized by the gold. The pipes are gold, and the oil that flows through them is gold. The uniqueness of the anointing is also emphasized by the gold.
HASHEM has reserved this special anointing oil שמן משחה for Israel out of His great love for Israel. This love is a love which is a greater love than His love for any other nation.
He has also reserved this special anointing oil שמן משחה for Israelis who dwell in the land of Israel.
He has reserved this special anointing oil שמן משחה for these last days that precede the coming of
the Messiah the son of David המשיח בן דוד.
We are now arriving at the end of the Gentile Age. This age has been defined by the Dispersion, the Galut הגלות . This Galut גלות is the scattering of Israel by HASHEM among the nations of the earth. During this period of time which has been almost 2000 years, HASHEM has bestowed different anointings of the Spirit of God רוח האלוהים upon believers in Yeshua the Messiah of Israel ישוע המשיח של ישראל These anointings have indeed been precious and powerful. But the gentiles have never experienced the anointing oil שמן משחה that HASHEM will bestow upon Israeli believers in Yeshua ישוע who live in the land of Israel in these last days. This oil has been uniquely reserved for Israel. This golden oil of anointing שמן משחה זהב is spoken of by the Prophet Isaiah. It is the same anointing of the Spirit of HASHEM that was upon Yeshua the Messiah ישוע המשיח when he first began his ministry in the land of Israel nearly 2000 years ago. He points this out to the members of the synagogue where he was raised.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and he entered, as his custom was, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
And there was delivered to him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. And he opened the scroll, and found the place where it was written,
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
because the LORD has anointed me
to bring good tidings unto the humble;
He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the eyes to them that are bound;
To proclaim the year of the LORD’S good pleasure
רוּחַ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה עָלָי
יַעַן מָשַׁח יְהוָה אֹתִי
לְבַשֵּׂר עֲנָוִים
שְׁלָחַנִי לַחֲבֹשׁ לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי-לֵב
לִקְרֹא לִשְׁבוּיִם דְּרוֹר
וְלַאֲסוּרִים פְּקַח-קוֹחַ
לִקְרֹא שְׁנַת-רָצוֹן לַיהוָה
Isaiah 61:1-2 ישעיה סא:א-ב
And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
And he began to say to them, To-day this scripture has been fulfilled in your ears.
And all bare him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth…
The Messiah המשיח proceeded to do great wonders in the land of Israel ארץ ישראל, and to reveal the kingdom of HASHEM מלכות יהוה .
As the time approaches for the return of the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע , and the birth pangs get more intense, the golden anointing oil is poured out through the golden pipes upon Jews who believe in Yeshua ישוע. It will increase and become more powerful until it pervades the whole land.
The Spirit of God רוח אלוהים will quicken those who were dead in their trespasses and sins, and circumcise the hearts of the people.
This is prophesied by Moses משה :
And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
וּמָל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת–לְבָבְךָ
וְאֶת-לְבַב זַרְעֶךָ
לְאַהֲבָה אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, בְּכָל-לְבָבְךָ וּבְכָל-נַפְשְׁךָ–לְמַעַן חַיֶּיךָ
Deuteronomy 30:6 דברים ל:ו
Ezekiel יחזקאל also prophesies:
A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put within you;
and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put My Spirit within you,
And cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My ordinances, and do them.
וְנָתַתִּי לָכֶם לֵב חָדָשׁ, וְרוּחַ חֲדָשָׁה אֶתֵּן בְּקִרְבְּכֶם
וַהֲסִרֹתִי אֶת-לֵב הָאֶבֶן, מִבְּשַׂרְכֶם
וְנָתַתִּי וְאֶת–רוּחִי אֶתֵּן בְּקִרְבְּכֶם
וְעָשִׂיתִי, אֵת אֲשֶׁר-בְּחֻקַּי תֵּלֵכוּ, וּמִשְׁפָּטַי תִּשְׁמְרוּ, וַעֲשִׂיתֶם
Ezekiel 36:26-27 יחזקאל לו:כו-כז
HASHEM will bring beautiful fruit from the hearts of the people for His glory.
Psalm 85 prophesies the effects:
Wilt you not quicken us again, That your people may rejoice in you?
Show us your lovingkindness, O HASHEM, And grant us your salvation.
I will hear what HASHEM will speak; For He will speak peace to his people, and to his holy ones: But let them not turn again to folly.
Surely his salvation is close to them that fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.
Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Truth springs out of the earth; And righteousness has looked down from heaven.
Yes! HASHEM will give that which is good; and our land shall yield its increase.
Righteousness shall go before him, and shall make his footsteps a way to walk in.
הֲלֹא־אַתָּה תָּשׁוּב תְּחַיֵּנוּ וְעַמְּךָ יִשְׂמְחוּ־בָךְ
הַרְאֵנוּ יְהוָה חַסְדֶּךָ וְיֶשְׁעֲךָ תִּתֶּן־לָנוּ
אֶשְׁמְעָה מַה־יְדַבֵּר הָאֵל יְהוָה כִּי יְדַבֵּר שָׁלוֹם אֶל־עַמּוֹ וְאֶל־חֲסִידָיו וְאַל־יָשׁוּבוּ לְכִסְלָה
אַךְ קָרוֹב לִירֵאָיו יִשְׁעוֹ לִשְׁכֹּן כָּבוֹד בְּאַרְצֵנוּ
חֶסֶד־וֶאֱמֶת נִפְגָּשׁוּ צֶדֶק וְשָׁלוֹם נָשָׁקוּ
אֱמֶת מֵאֶרֶץ תִּצְמָח וְצֶדֶק מִשָּׁמַיִם נִשְׁקָף
גַּם־יְהוָה יִתֵּן הַטּוֹב וְאַרְצֵנוּ תִּתֵּן יְבוּלָהּ
צֶדֶק לְפָנָיו יְהַלֵּךְ וְיָשֵׂם לְדֶרֶךְ פְּעָמָיו
This is in preparation for the return of the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע to Israel.
He will set up the throne of the kingdom of David in Jerusalem,
and from this throne he will execute judgment and rule all Israel.
