Wealth

The position of wealth in God’s plan is revealed in the Torah.

“But you shall remember the LORD your God: For it is He who gives you the power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware to your fathers as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18.

וזכרת את יהוה אלהיך כי הוא הנותן לך

כח לעשות חיל למען הקים את בריתו

אשר נשבע לאבתיך כיום הזה:

The covenant of Ha Shem is like a tender plant that grows into a tree.

Wealth protects this plant during its growth by providing a nourishing environment.

It also gives it room so that it has space to develop.

An example of this is when the LORD led Jacob (Israel) into Egypt. He gave Israel the BEST of the land so that they could grow, develop, and flourish into a mighty nation.

“And you shall dwell in the Land of Goshen, and you shall be near unto me, you and your children, and your children’s children, and your flocks, and your herds, and all that you have; And there will I nourish you, for there are five years of famine; lest you and your household and all that you have, come to poverty.” Genesis 45:10-11.

“And Joseph placed his father and his brethren and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. And Joseph nourished his father and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families.” Genesis 47:11-12.

“And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.”

Genesis 47:27.
